Ten of the songs of 'Follow me down' were written during Autumn and Winter 2009, the others had a longer gestation.
The idea for A Crofter's Soul came whilst practising in a camping field under Ben Nevis in 2000. I had spent two weeks walking in the surrounding area with my Irish Wolfhound and we had come across many derelict crofter's settlements. Looking East from where I live there is a long hill and at certain times the full moon just sits there huge and yellow but the song took several years to get completed. Also about 10 years ago I read a thriller about mercenaries whilst on holiday in Brittany and Pierre and Louise introduced themselves. So the other songs emerged blinking into the light over a period of a few months peopled by characters real and imaginary or a mixture of both, together with some obviously borne out of personal experiences. I hope you enjoy them, and come back in a while, I am working on a second collection which I'll hopefully record next year.
